"The Shrinking Morsel" is the page that is tracking my weight loss journey. In this page I'm going to be laying it all out. It's going to be difficult sharing as much as I am but I think it will be good. It will keep me honest and facing some hard truths, wonderful success' and all round delights and hardships of a large weight loss journey.

About me: 

My name is Christina. I'm 29, a wife, a mother of 3, I love to cook, bake. All in all I love being a stay at home mom and housewife. That being said I decided to start this blog as an outlet. I'm sure any stay at home moms can relate. I don't have much just for me and I thought this would be a great way to spend a little time for me each day.

I've got an amazing husband. His name is Greg and he's by best friend and definitely the love of my life. I'm very blessed to have him as my husband. We've been together since we were 20 & 21 years old. We married when we were 22 & 23 and although I'm sure some people thought we were too young it was the best decision of my life. We are now both 29 and have a beautiful marriage and a wonderful family. My marriage will always be my #1 priority.

We've got 3 beautiful children together. I won't be using their real name but the nicknames their Papa (my dad) gave each of them from the time they were babies. They are ages 1, 2 & 3 ... yes you are reading that right. I had a baby in 2006, 2007 & again in 2008. It wasn't really our plan to have kids that close but it was the best thing that could have happened to us. I wouldn't change their ages for anything. The Captain is 4 and he's pretty amazing. He's affectionate and smart and funny, he loves to make people laugh. The Chief is 2, he is our wild child, never a dull moment and always covered in scraps and bruises from his no fear personality. Lastly is Cutie, our only daughter. She is 1 and she is an absolute pleasure. She is a little shy and sweet. From the time she was born she has been very calm just a natural addition to our family. There is definitely something special about her, I'm looking forward to see her personality come out in this next year.

 I use to be funny, that was my thing! Having 3 babies in that many years plays were who you are. The surge of hormones  between growing the baby and then the post hormones over those 3 years were wild. It's only in the past 4 months that I've realized how different I was ... I mean I was always me but I feel like my old self again but even better.  I tried to do a blog last for 2009 but it was too much, I felt overwhelmed and just couldn't keep it up, granted at that time I had a new born, 1 & 2 year old. The past 9 months have really made a difference for me. I'm hoping this blog will help the funny Christina come back. I'm hoping it may help others by sharing my experiences.  For years I didn't know what my "thing" was. For instance, Greg is an amazing musician. Music is his "thing", his gift. You know, most people have a gift whether it be music, fitness, business ... but I didn't have one. Then I became a mom and I found my gift. I have a nack for being a mom and housewife. I found not only do I love to cook and bake, but I'm good at it to boot! 

I'll share recipe's , parenting experiences, marriage success' & failures! You'll get the good, the bad and the ugly of my life! Please comment and participate! I'm excited to see where this leads ... if anywhere at all!
